2020 Spring Skills Program

Spring Development Program Information

The Spring Skills program will offer professional coaching for boys and girls ages 5-12 of all ability levels. 

Beginner-level players will learn the basics of skating and hockey fundamentals while intermediate-level and higher players will receive instruction that will enhance what they learned during the season as well as teach new techniques and skill sets.  Skating, puck control, shooting, puck protection and passing are some of the skills that will be taught.

In addition to having fun your child will also receive positive feedback and encouragement.

Coaches: Gabe Gauthier, Matt Frick and other Foothills Flyers Coaches. 

Options, pricing, dates and times listed below, by age groups. 

Players will register for their 2020-21 season age level.


New Options for 2020

Future Flyers/Beginner-Level Players:

  • 6 on-ice development sessions
  • Players may borrow an equipment bag with a refundable deposit.  Rental skates are also available upon request.

U10 - U12 players have two options:

  • Option 1 - Spring Development Team includes 2 practices per week and participation in  the Foothills Flyers Memorial Invitational Tournament (Memorial Day Weekend).
  • Option 2 - Spring Skills Development includes  Monday night skills sessions ONLY.
  • Goalies may register for either option.  Please note that Goalie-specific training is NOT included.

U8  Intermediate-level players have two options:

  • Option 1 - Includes 2 practices per week
  • Option 2 - Includes  Monday night skills sessions only.

U12 - 2008-2009 Birth Years
U10 Major - 2010 Birth Year Players
U10 Minor - 2011 Birth Year Players
U8 Intermediate - 2012-2013 Birth Years

Future Flyers (Beginners) - 2010-2015 Birth Years
